Letter from Rob Tully: GCGV Announces Site Selection

April 19, 2017

To San Patricio County residents:

Gulf Coast Growth Ventures is very pleased to be moving forward with pursuing our proposed manufacturing project at the San Patricio, Texas site near Gregory-Portland.  This represents a significant milestone for our project, the communities of Gregory and Portland, the citizens of San Patricio County and the families and businesses throughout the Coastal Bend.

The last several months have been productive, informative, and certainly challenging, but ultimately very beneficial as they helped us to better understand the community’s perspective and the things we can do to work together.  We thank all of you for your feedback, and we appreciate the support we’ve received from the community.

As a result of our conversations, we developed the Good Neighbor Program to address four priorities the community has expressed – Health and Safety, Quality of Life, Environmental Stewardship and Education and Workforce. We’re excited about the opportunities this program will bring and the benefits it will provide for the entire community – from good, high paying careers to local business activity, safety awareness programs, and environmental stewardship.

We are also committing our people and our resources to ensure this facility is designed with the best available control technology and to standards that protect the health and safety of our employees, the community and the environment.  GCGV is committed to make positive contributions to the community, to continue listening to and working closely with citizens and local leaders, and to always serve as a safe, trusted and reliable neighbor.

And we will keep all of you informed every step of the way, through regular communication of project updates as well as more formal engagement related to the permitting process.

Again, we are very grateful for your support in helping us reach this important milestone.  We look forward to working with you to make this project a reality.
